Our Beliefs

We believe that everyone needs God's salvation and without it people will spend eternity in the torments of hell as the Bible teaches.

We believe that God's salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and without Him there is no salvation.

We believe Jesus is deserving of worship and pre-eminence in every area of life.

We believe that Scripture is God's inerrant revelation to us, and do gladly embrace Scripture as our highest authority above such things as culture, experience, philosophy, and other forms of revelation.

We believe that those who have faith in Jesus Christ are called to be salt and light to the world.

We believe that there is a second coming of Jesus Christ and all men will stand before him to be judged.

What we are not

In this day and age, with false teaching rampant within the church and without, saying what we believe isn't always enough. Here you can read about what we DO NOT believe. (This format was used by the Acts 29 Network and we loved it and slightly adapted it to apply to our church).

We are not postmodernists or relativists and do not believe that truth is subjective and can't really be known, but rather Christians who believe that the truths of the Bible are objective and eternal and therefore fitting for every time, place, and people. We do not compromise the Gospel to be more relevant, nor do we embrace the culture as a means to connect.

We are not fundamentalists or legalists who retreat from cultural involvement and transformation, but rather missionaries faithful both to the content of Scripture and context of ministry.

We are not egalitarians and do believe that men should be the head of their homes, however we also believe from examples in Scripture that God also calls women to ministry and therefore can be ordained.

We are not religious liberals and are not afraid to offend those of other religions by preaching that there is no salvation apart from faith in Jesus Christ alone.

We are not Open Theists (who believe that future events are unknown to God) and do believe in the sovereignty and foreknowledge of God in all things.

We are not nationalists who only see from the perspective of one nation but seek to maintain a global perspective, keeping in mind that God's vision is that people of every nation, tribe, and tongue will experience the coming of His kindom on earth.

We are not naturalists and do believe that there is a very real spiritual world where Satan and demons are at war with believers using tools such as temptation, deceit, and fear. We do believe, however, they can do nothing outside of God's control and will ultimately fail at thwarting His soverign plan.

We are not moralists desiring merely to help people improve themselves and perform more good deeds, but instead evangelists urging people to be born again and live a transformed in the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are not relativists and do gladly embrace Scripture as our highest authority above such things as culture, experience, philosophy, and other forms of revelation.

We are not Universalists and do believe that many people will spend eternity in the torments of hell as the Bible teaches.

We are not evangelical feminists and do believe that God reveals Himself as a Father and is to be honored by the names He reveals to us without apology.

We are not embarrassed by the bloody death of Jesus Christ and do believe He died as a substitute for the sins of His people in selfless love.

We are not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ which sounds like foolishness to those who are unrepentant but has the power to save those whom God has drawn to Himself.
